STEM Club Competitive Teams are AMAZING but require a lot of hard work and an extra time commitment. Please see team discription for important information meetings and tryout dates.
Achievements
STEM Club Competitive Teams are a lot of fun and opportunities abound but they require dedication and a time commitment.
In prior years, with a lot of time and determination, the STEM Club Competitive Teams went on to compete at the State Level in Science Olympiad!
Robotics Teams have gone on to represent Randall at State and Regional Tournaments as well.!
We have a top notch teacher sponsors and students at Randall STEM Club.
With a lot of commitment, hard work and determination, STEM Club competitive teams experience wonderful success and enrichment!
The STEM Club competitive teams include:

Science Olympiad
with Ms. DeDea
Meets Wednesday 8:15am. Be at gate 8:05am.
Information Meeting for Students on 8/18/2025 8:30am Room 126

Each school-based team is allowed to bring 15 students who cross-train for a variety of events in their skill set. Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of 23 team events in each division. Events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology.
If selected mandatory parent meeting via teams on 8/25 at 5:30 pm.
Robotics with Mrs. Hodgkins

Test on 8/15/2025 8:30am Room 126
Students explore the world of coding and robotic work along with applying it to a real-world problem. Students develop a project based on the annual theme and then build a robot that will accomplish missions within the parameters set for that year. Robotics helps students learn to work collaboratively through research, programming, and team building activities.
If selected mandatory parent meeting via teams on 8/18 at 5.30 p.m.
Sea Perch ( Underwater Robotics ) with Dr Bradner
Sea Perch is new to Randall this year. Sea Perch in an innovative underwater robotics program that equips students to build an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
As an integrated STEM education program, Sea Perch is a great place to start on your journey to build a bot and learn how to use that bot for good. As an educational program, SeaPerch introduces students to basic engineering, design, and science concepts. As a fun hands-on project, SeaPerch engages students and fosters key 21st century skills including critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity with a marine engineering theme.
Information Meeting for Students on 8/21/2025 8:30am Room 111
Test on 8/22/2025 8:30am Room 111
